Hampton Roads is attractive in the guidebooks, but also in checkbooks
It’s easier to attract good people and retain them when your company is located in an area with an affordable cost of living. Every one of your employees’ paychecks will stretch farther in Hampton Roads than in many other parts of the country. As a result, you can offer wages that are competitive with other markets, even though those wages are empirically lower.
